We offer corporate memberships to businesses wishing to support our cause and help us make a real difference for people and wildlife across the region.
There are three different support packages available that will develop a relationship to benefit both the Trust and the corporate supporter, creating a partnership for wildlife.
All corporate members receive
- Logo and listing on the Durham Wildlife Trust website with link to your organisation’s website
- Use of the Durham Wildlife Trust logo for integration into your own communication
- Sponsorship opportunities including Durham Wildlife Trust events, publications, appeals and conservation projects
- Sponsorship opportunities tailored to match your company’s core values
- Access to telephone advice on any ecological or conservation matters
- Corporate members are invited to visit our nature reserves and an agreed number of membership cards depending on the support package are included for staff to visit as a group or individually, including free parking
- Opportunities for staff involvement in our conservation and wildlife projects
- 5 Guides to the Reserves information packs that give full details of each reserve
- 5 copies of Durham Wildlife magazine issued 3 times per year
- 5% discount on any work carried out by our environmental consultancy Durham Wildlife Services Ltd. Durham Wildlife Services Ltd can carry out a wide variety of Ecological Surveys, conduct Environmental Impact Assessments, offer In Service Training and run Conservation Workshops
Durham Brown Argus Support Package
Named after the iconic butterfly found on the unique magnesian limestone grasslands of East Durham and Southern Tyne and Wear, this is our premium support package which costs £800.
Benefits include:
- Presentation of framed Membership Certificate with photo opportunity on joining
- Press release issued to local and regional press through our PR consultant plus co-operation with articles in your internal publications
- Company feature in Durham Wildlife magazine on joining, plus a listing in every issue
- 15% discount on tailor-made Team Building Days at one of our nature reserves
- A Wildlife @ Work camera placed on your organisation’s agreed sites for selected periods throughout the year
- Compilations of moving images (edited by Wildlife @ Work team) available for use in your reception, on your website, etc…
- Staff guided walk around your site or a DWT reserve, led by a Wildlife @ Work team member
- Use of Rainton Meadows meeting room for offsite Management / Board meetings
- Opportunity to submit articles for publication in Durham Wildlife magazine
Teesdale Violet Support Package
Part of the world famous Teesdale Assemblage of plants, the Teesdale violet is a symbol of our beautiful uplands. This package costs £400.
Benefits include:
- Presentation of framed Membership Certificate with photo opportunity and press release
- Acknowledgement in Durham Wildlife magazine on joining, plus a listing in every issue
- 10% discount on tailor-made Team Building Days at one of our nature reserves
- Opportunity to submit articles for publication in Durham Wildlife magazine

Lady’s Mantle Support Package
Characteristic of Weardale and other upland areas some species of lady’s mantle or Alchemilla are found nowhere else in Britain. This package is designed for small businesses and costs £150.
Benefits include:

- Acknowledgement of your support in Durham Wildlife magazine on joining
