Durham Wildlife Trust relies almost entirely on volunteers to help manage our reserves. If you have an interest in the future of Hedleyhope Fell then we would be pleased to hear from you.

There are a number of ways in which you can get involved. Hedleyhope Fell has a volunteer task force that works on the Fell. As a volunteer you would learn new skills such as tree and scrub management, bracken control and footpath maintenance.

Alternatively, if a hands on approach is not your forte then you could become a volunteer warden. The fell would benefit from a number of people patrolling the
site and reporting incidents such as fly tipping, the condition of footpaths and generally keeping an eye on what’s going on.

Contact Craig Best on 01388 488728 or email cbest@durhamwt.co.uk for more information on volunteering at Hedleyhope Fell.

Visit the volunteers' own web site for more information about the activities of the task force.
