About the event

This fundraising event, held at the beautiful St Cuthbert and St Bede church garden, includes two fascinating talks and the opportunity to purchase plants which are well-loved by garden pollinators.

Local horticultural expert, John Grundy, will be delivering a talk discussing a range of features that can be added to your garden to make it more wildlife friendly, alongside information on how to carry out regular garden maintenance in a more sustainable way.

Durham Wildlife Trust’s Head of Development & Communications, Emily Routledge, will be delivering a talk about the Trust, our various North East nature reserves and nature restoration projects. There will be teas, coffees, cakes and scones available throughout the day.

We hope to see you at what is set to be a relaxed and informative open garden event. Whether you are new to gardening or an experienced horticulturist, you are sure to learn a lot on this fundraising afternoon dedicated to garden wildlife!
