Marsden Quarry - Dave Mitchell

MAGical Meadows

This is a Durham Wildlife Trust project undertaken on behalf of the Durham Biodiversity Partnership. The aim of the project is to conserve, connect and create magnesian limestone grassland in South Tyneside, Sunderland, Durham, Easington and Sedgefield. Together these areas form part of the Durham Magnesian Limestone Natural Area (DMLNA).   For more information about this project please click HERE.

Coalfields and Lowlands

The Coalfields and Lowlands project area is based on the Durham portion of two Natural Areas - the Northumbrian Coal Measures, and Tees Lowlands. The aims of the project are to conserve, restore and enhance grazed lowland habitat - a mosaic of heath and acid/neutral grassland - to appropriate parts of this project area.   For more information on this project please click HERE.
