Birds and Birdboxes at Bowlees Visitor Centre, Middleton in Teesdale Activities 11am to 4pm
Saturday is a chance to make your own bird box with the guidance of experts. On Sunday we will be making birdfeeders out of recycled materials and displaying different types of birdfood.

Older children carry out conservation tasks in the Botanic Gardens. International Dawn Chorus Day, Low Barns Nature Reserve
Meet 4.30am for a 5am dawn
A dawn to dusk (and beyond) wildlife day at Low Barns, commencing with the dawn chorus and finishing with a bat walk and moth trap, with the opportunity to record as many species as possible.
Experts will be on hand to help with small mammal trapping and recording.
